Peter Herrmann, Research Fellow at the Human Rights Center Law School at the Central South University, Changsha and member of class V of EASA, had been invited to attend the 2026 Forum on Global Human Rights Governance, dedicated to the topic
Joint Development, Shared Human Rights: The 40th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Declaration on the Right to Development and a New Vision for Global Human Rights Governance".

The meeting had been hosted by the China's State Council (SCIO) and the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and took place on the 11th and 12th of June.

(2) The Role and Significance of the Right to Development in the
Evolution of Global Human Rights
(3) Safeguarding the Right to Development in the Age of AI: Emerging
Challenges and Opportunities
(4) Green Development and the Protection of Human Rights
(5) Modernisation and People's Free and Comprehensive Development
Herrmann raised the responsibility of politicians globally, and underlined his effort to make his academic work in the service of all humanity; politicians and academics must take up this responsibility, leaving national and regional interests behind.
